Services
We are pleased to offer the following services at our veterinary hospital.
Appointments
We offer appointments for a wide range of health care needs, from routine and preventive care, to treatment for sick and injured pets. Please call our office during normal business hours, and one of our helpful staff members will assist you with your appointment request.
Emergencies during our normal business hours are given priority over routine appointments. If possible, please call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency. For after-hours emergencies, please contact VCA: Animal Care Center in Rohnert Park at (707) 584-4343.
Our doctors on staff at Brandner Veterinary Hospital can care for many types of pets:

Boarding
We are pleased to offer boarding services to our clients. We consider pets to be family members and we strive to make their stay here as comfortable as possible. Dogs are housed in indoor dog runs and cats have spacious cages for boarding. We have plenty of clean, soft bedding, but you are welcome to bring a special blanket or toy from home that your pet enjoys.
At our hospital, we feed Science Diet pet foods to boarders, but we encourage you to bring your pet's regular diet to avoid intestinal upset from a change in diet. Baths are also available upon request on the day of departure at a 25% discount.
Call our office for current boarding rates. Please note that there is an additional daily fee for diabetic boarders and pets that require daily medications. Also, please keep in mind that our boarding facility fills up quickly during major holidays, so book your reservations in advance!
Boarding Policy
Drop-off and pick-up times for boarding are Monday-Friday 8am-noon, and 2pm-5pm, and Saturdays 8am-noon. All dogs and cats that board with us are required to be flea-free and current on vaccinations. Dogs must be current on DHLPP (D = Distemper, H = Infectious Canine Hepatitis, L = Leptospirosis, P = Parainfluenza, P = Parvovirus), Rabies, and Bordetella. Cats must have a current FECVP and Rabies vaccination. If your pet is due for vaccinations, we would be happy to administer them when they are admitted. If fleas or ticks are observed on your pet while boarding, we will need to treat with appropriate flea or tick control.
To save time at drop-off, you are welcome to download and print our boarding form, and bring the completed form with you. Please be sure to fill out the two-page form entirely, including feeding instructions and any medications to ensure that we can make your pet's stay here as pleasant as possible. Radiology
In 2008, we converted to digital radiography. We utilize the D.R. VET Digital Imaging System for our x-rays, and the AFP Imaging Dental X-Ray System for our dental radiographs. Both of these are high-tech systems that capture images quickly and provide exceptional image quality. The conversion to digital from our previous standard film unit offers many advantages for our patients, such as faster processing time and reduced exposure to radiation. This means less stress and increased safety for your pet. The digital imaging software we use allows the doctors to rotate and enhance x-rays, and zoom in on areas of interest. In addition, we are able to send images to specialists quickly if necessary. ⁞
Dental Care
Periodontal disease is very common in dogs and cats. Plaque and tartar build-up on the teeth leads to bad breath and gum inflammation, and potentially more serious problems such as damage to the heart, liver, kidneys and immune system. Our doctors understand the importance of dental care for your pet and can help determine when professional dental treatment is needed. Our dental treatment is performed under anesthesia and includes a complete oral exam, ultrasonic scaling, polishing, and oral rinse. It may also involve extractions, antibiotics, or pain medications if necessary.
Wellness Plans
At Brandner Veterinary Hospital, we know how exciting it can be to get a new puppy or kitten. We also understand how important it is to give your new pet a healthy start on life. That is why we offer a variety of puppy and kitten packages at a discount to protect your new family member. We offer full packages for pets just getting started on their vaccines, and mini packs for pets that may have already received some, but not all of their vaccines from a breeder, shelter, or other facility. Our packs provide a cost-efficient way to protect your puppy or kitten from harmful viruses and establish a good doctor-patient relationship.

Brandner Veterinary Hospital accepts payment via Cash, Check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card, American Express and ATM Debit Cards.
